Committees

There are a number of different committees at St. Albert the Great.
Almost all focus on
providing direction and/or leadership to various aspects of Parish life.
If you would like
some hands-on involvement in the committee work of the Parish, maybe one
or more of
the following would be of interest.
ART & ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE
The focus of the Art & Environment Committee is to enhance the
liturgical space of the
Parish, both seasonally and for special liturgical celebrations. The
committee's
responsibilities include meeting seasonally to share creative ideas
about the liturgical
environment and creating a meaningful atmosphere that compliments the
liturgical
year.
CRAFT FAIR COMMITTEE
The Craft Fair Committee oversees all aspects of the Parish's
annual craft fair. This fair
features over fifty crafters and vendors, a special raffle drawing, and
a luncheon.
FESTIVAL COMMITTEE
The primary concern of the Festival Committee is to offer
guidance and direction to
those who have hands-on responsibility for the Parish's largest annual
fund-raising
event: AlbertFEST. Festival planning meetings begin in January and are
held every other
month until July.
PARISH LIFE COMMITTEE
The Parish Life Committee has been brought back to
life to provide special kindness and hospitality to the parish
community. Its members prepare and serve brunch once a year for
the families who have lost a loved one to death. They also are
part of the welcome that is given to new members of the parish twice a
year. The Committee is also an integral part of the annual
appreciation gathering for all who give of their time and talent to the
parish. (This gathering occurs on Epiphany Sunday.) It is a
Committee that uses good cooks and sparkling personalities to make folks
comfortable in gatherings.
STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE
Members of the Stewardship Committee deal with how best to
promote the spiritual
and practical applications of stewardship within the Parish. The
committee helps to
foster the message of "stewardship as a way of life" through a variety
of programs and
events. The committee meets on an as-needed basis.
If you'd be interested in serving on any of these committees, just
contact our Parish
office (see below).
